THE NEXT SUSTAINABLE MODEL OF RETAIL
REFILLS OF YOUR FAVORITE HOUSEHOLD
We set up mobile and store-based refill stations that offer basic consumer goods where you can purchase small quantities in reusable containers; paying a lower per-unit price due to reduced costs in distribution and packaging.
Stop wasting money on plastic packaging! You can bring containers or purchase reusable, practical and attractive ones. This will reduce cost spent on new plastic packaging and accumulate the savings with continuous reuse of containers.
Indonesia is the second-largest ocean plastic polluter in the world. The Siklus solution eliminates plastic waste which prevents further blockage in cities’ drainage systems, straining landfills, and ocean’s plastic pollution.
TWO CHALLENGES ONE SOLUTION
It is estimated that by 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean. In Indonesia, the underprivileged communities are often excluded from waste management services. If the problem persists, it will have devastating consequences to our ecosystems, economy and health. Our solution mitigates the mounting plastic waste issue by tackling it at the source to promote a cleaner environment.
15% of products’ prices stem from the costs of packaging. When goods are sold in smaller quantities, the cost of packaging adds up to more money spent - poverty tax. The vulnerable population in Indonesia and those who do not have the capacity to purchase in bulk due to financial or space limitation pay the highest price for smaller quantities in everyday products. We break this cycle by delivering the goods at lower prices by cutting out added cost of plastic packaging.
Siklus tackles plastic pollution at the source while making everyday necessities affordable for low-income communities. We replace non-recyclable sachets with refill stations, designed to dispense a variety of portion sizes to accommodate our consumers’ limited storage space. Unit prices are 20% less, a significant saving for those who spend almost half of their income on food and homecare. With insights gained from our dispensing technology, we offer FMCGs companies an equitable, sustainable, and scalable solution.
